How to get 5× more views on Google: a real 23-day case study

Most advice on getting more views on Google is vague. So here is the opposite: a real, measured result, with the dates and the numbers. One site went from 2,200 to 11,500 appearances on Google in 23 days · five times more views · with no ads and no redesign. Below is exactly what happened, and the playbook you can copy for your own short-term rental site.

What "5× more views on Google" actually means

When people say they want more views on Google, they usually mean one of two things, and the difference matters:

  • Impressions · how many times your site appears in someone's search results (Google Search Console calls these "appearances").
  • Clicks · how many of those people actually visit.

You can't get clicks from searches you never appear in. So the first job is almost always to appear in more searches. That is the lever this case study pulled, and it is the one most rental sites are leaving untouched.

The experiment: 23 days, no ads, no redesign

The site is mielectrico.uy, which helps Uruguayans compare electric cars and estimate their savings. Different industry from short- term rental, same Google rules · which is the point: this is a method, not a trick.

On June 4, 2026 they ran the exact audit we sell, then applied the prioritized action plan. We measured the 23 days before against the 23 days after. No advertising budget. No new website. The only variable that changed was the plan being applied.

Metric Before After Change
Appearances in Google 2,200 11,500 ×5
Visitors from Google 199 437 +120%
Time spent on the site 1m 33s 2m 14s +43%
Share of visits from Google 36% 76% ×2

Appearances on Google before and after: 2,200 rising to 11,500, a 5× jump in 23 days

Why the views multiplied: win hundreds of searches, not one

Here is the part that explains the 5×. Before the audit, the site showed up for only a handful of searches. After it, it began appearing on hundreds of new searches it wasn't capturing at all · the specific, concrete questions real buyers type, like "electric car calculator" or "which EV to buy".

That is the whole secret to more views on Google: you don't win by ranking #1 for one fantasy keyword. You win by appearing on the long tail · the many precise questions your audience actually asks. Five times the relevant searches is roughly five times the views.

Vague search (hard to win) Specific search (easy to win) Why the specific one wins
apartment Biarritz apartment Biarritz near the beach with parking Matches a ready-to-book intent, far fewer rivals
where to stay where to stay in Biarritz with a dog Answers a real question your page can own
Biarritz rental Biarritz 2 bedrooms sea view Exact fit, so Google shows you to the right searcher

The playbook, applied to a short-term rental

The same moves translate directly to a rental site. None of them need a developer.

  1. List the real questions your guests ask. Not "apartment Biarritz" but "apartment Biarritz near the beach with parking", "where to stay in Biarritz with a dog", "Biarritz 2 bedrooms sea view". Each is a search you can win.
  2. Give each question a real answer on the page. A clear heading and a few honest sentences. One page can target a family of related questions.
  3. Make every page unmistakably about one place and one intent. Put the town and the specifics in your titles and headings · that is what connects you to the search.
  4. Fix the technical basics so Google can crawl and read you: fast pages, compressed images, no broken links, a clean structure.
  5. Add structured data (schema.org) so Google and AI assistants understand exactly what you offer.
  6. Watch impressions in Google Search Console. It is free. The "appearances" line going up is the leading indicator · clicks and bookings follow.

Views are the means · bookings are the goal

More views only matter if they are the right views. They were here: visitors also stayed 43% longer, and Google went from a side channel to the site's number one source of visitors (from 36% to 76% of traffic).

For a short-term rental, that chain is the whole game: appear in more of the searches your future guests make → earn more qualified visits → take more direct bookings, and hand fewer commissions to the platforms.

The numbers above came from one audit and one action plan, applied over three weeks. The method is repeatable · including on your site.

Good to know

How long does it take to get more views on Google?
In this case study, appearances multiplied by five in 23 days after the plan was applied. Timelines vary, but impressions are the fastest-moving indicator and usually shift within a few weeks.
Do I need to pay for ads to get more views?
No. This result used no ad budget and no redesign · it came purely from making the site appear in more organic searches.
What is the difference between impressions and clicks?
Impressions are how often you appear in search results; clicks are the visits that follow. You cannot get clicks from searches you never appear in, so appearing in more searches comes first.
Does this work for a short-term rental site?
Yes. The method follows Google's rules rather than an industry trick, so the playbook in this article applies directly to rental sites.
